EASTSIDE LEADS & SELF HELP GRAPHICS YOUTH ARTIVISM INTERNSHIP

The Youth Artivism Internship Program is aimed at integrating more art and youth voices into our coalition housing justice advocacy. This program is open to youth ages 18-24 living in Los Angeles interested in advocacy, activism, the arts, and strong ties to the community.

This program provides participants with the experience of using art as a tool for social action and addresses issues set by our coalition. The interns work closely with Self Help Graphics and Art’s Community Engagement and Youth Programs Manager and our coalition staff to inform and help develop art projects, activations, and exhibitions responding to the issues our coalition addresses such as displacement and gentrification.

Participants receive training and guidance on civic engagement, how to lead programming, artivism, and issues of their individual interest in relation to their communities. The interns commit to dedicating 20 hours per month during a 8-month term.

This internship includes a stipend for participation.

The application window for our Artivista Internship Program is currently CLOSED. Please come back in April of 2026!
